The past few days have given me a bit of a shock.  You see, I’ve started ElfSong.com earlier this week as a place for me to post artwork for the comic, give out information and run a webcomic introduction.  As of right now there’s nothing really on here for anyone tosee.  The shock has come in the form of a large influx of visitors to the site!

Well, for those of you who have somehow stumbled on to ElfSong.com, welcome!  I’ll be posting more artwork next week and will be launching the first ElfSong comic in November.  That will run for a few weeks and lead into the ElfSong comic magazine in early 2010.  I can’t really give an exact date at this point because I’m putting everything I’ve got into the artwork and don’t want to rush the release.

If you have found yourself here in the beginning of the website, drop me a note or leave a comment and let me know how the heck you found it!  I’d love to know…and, I’d love to know what you think of the artwork, especially as I get more added in.

Until next time, Happy Hunting!

I discovered your site due to stumbling across the image of Dusk on Hal Hefner’s deviant art site. :) Got rather enthusiastic about the notion of a comic inspired by elfquest (among other things) and proceeded to post about it over at the elfquest fan art site. So I think I may have driven a wee bit of traffic your way, but I have to assume it was probably Hal’s image that was mostly responsible!

I’ll definitely be watching with great curiosity to see where this goes!

    Foxeye:

Thanks for the comment. I did notice a few people coming over from the EQ Fan Art Site and couldn’t for the life of me figure out how you had found the site already! I had just put it up a few days before.

I’m very excited to be working on ElfSong. I mentioned elsewhere that I was a HUGE ElfQuest and ElfLord fan back when I was growing up…I even ran an EQ Fan Holt in the 80s and early 90s (the Paradise Holt from Hawaii) before I went to work for the Pinis (hired by Barry Blair, actually) in 1994. For me it’s really cool to get to do work that I am completely in love with — where I can deal with some of the more fantasy elements that aren’t as prevailant in mainstream comics. It’s also letting me deal with spiritualism of my own native American roots (Choctaw on my mother’s side).

Anyway, I’ve gone on too much already. Thanks again for dropping by and feel free to post here any time. I’d love to hear what you think as I get more work up. I’ll have an introductory web comic starting in the next couple of weeks, which will lead into the print book in early 2010.
